Experience 0100 - Hack Hack Hack

When freed from the virtual world the Saints (Kinzie in particular) have a small ship to fly around in the alien world. Here are a couple shots from the ship (seems very Mass Effect + Serenity from Firefly + Matrix):

Nice ship... unclear how this is hiding from the alien menace exactly...
The ship at this time houses my character, Kinzie, and the vice president. You can talk to or attempt to romance each character on board (nice homage to Mass Effect). Neither activity really accomplishes much unfortunately. The ship itself is large and has nothing much to offer at this time.

Here is the virtual pineapple farm.
One of the new activities involves interacting with some unknown being that needs you to find a proper body/form so it can return to a physical existence. As you listen to this information you have the joy of jumping from platforms reminiscent of Simon Says electronics (that probably dates me quite a bit...). This is not really fun but also not especially tedious. It's just something to do that uses the powers you've been given and tests your ability to use it in a more controlled manner than the rest of the game.
This is a pretty unique mini-game... seems like jump training (or is this the challenge and everything else was training...?).
... and finally we arrive at the bulk of my session. Hacking the stores around the city. I went through all 34 of them and hit a snag or two in the mid twenties. For whatever reason all those after 30 were easy enough to figure out on the first try. Unfortunately as you figure out the puzzles you can be attacked! Not only are you being damaged but the time is reduced as you are hit! In a number of cases I would have no meter indicating anger directed toward me and then 10 seconds into the puzzle I would get hit... that's not exactly logical. I guess some pedestrian didn't take kindly to my hacking!
Hacking the stores requires some actual thought and planning. I think this is a reasonable puzzle mechanic. Once you get into the right mindset even the later puzzles can be resolved reasonably quickly.

My next session will probably involve going after the big red bubbles all over the city...
